Lara Harris-David, LICSW
Lara is a graduate of Central Michigan University and received a Masters degree in Applied Sociology from Wayne State University. She earned a Masters degree in Social Work at Boston College Graduate School of Social Work in 2002. Lara’s areas of specialty include coping with chronic health conditions and aging.
Prior to joining the staff at Boston PainCare Center, Lara was the director of a dementia care unit in a long term care facility. She has also worked in a hospital setting providing psychotherapy and support to patients with neurological conditions including brain tumors, stroke, ALS, and head injury.
At Boston PainCare Center, Lara provides cognitive behavioral therapy and teaches stress reduction techniques for patients in chronic pain.

Edward McCarthy, LICSW
Ed is a graduate of Adelphi University with a BA Degree in Psychology, and graduate of Simmons College School of Social Work with a MSW in Psychiatry. He is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker In Massachusetts, and certified by the Benson-Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine in the Relaxation Response. Also, he is an active member of National Association of Social Workers.
Prior to joining the staff at Boston PainCare Center, Ed worked in a variety of hospital settings providing care to patients with a variety of behavioral and substance abuse care needs. He has also worked in Out Patient Clinics and Emergency Rooms providing assessments and behavioral therapy. At Boston Pain Care Center, Ed provides Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, teaches stress reduction techniques , and is member of our Medication Management Team.
