Job Title: Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant – Full Time

Boston PainCare Center is looking for a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join the pain management team. This is a multi-specialty medical practice and the NP/PA will collaborate with the physicians and nurses as well other member of the interdisciplinary team in order to enhance the patients’ plan of care.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Performing and documenting physical examinations on all patients.
• Obtaining and documenting patients' medical histories.
• Ordering, prescribing, dispensing, and administering drugs and medical devices.
• Performing or ordering diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and tests.
• Explaining all tests and procedures to the patient and family.
• Interpreting subjective and objective data to formulate a differential diagnosis and interpret laboratory and diagnostic test results.
• Formulating patient treatment plans.
• Implementing therapeutic interventions when appropriate.
• Writing consultation notes, progress notes and discharge summaries.

Requirements:

The following current valid licenses are required:

• MA license to practice as a NP/PA
• Federal DEA certificate
• State Controlled Substance Certificate in MA

Requires independent judgment under the direction and guidance of a licensed physician.

Computer skills necessary for daily use of Electronic Medical Records system.

Excellent interpersonal skills.
