Their goal is to increase the knowledge of pain and transform public policy and clinical practice to reduce pain-related suffering. Race Against Pain is a website devoted to chronic pain sufferers. Their mission is to give hope, help, and highlight people who have struggled with pain and won or have helped those who have. American Academy of Pain Medicine is a professional community of physicians with a sustained interest in pain disorders and their management. Members represent a variety of origins, including anesthesiology, internal medicine, neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, physiatry, and psychiatry. This website includes a patient portal for public information about pain and pain management. The Headache Cooperative of New England is a non-profit organization composed of medical, dental, and allied health professionals who are interested in the science and practice of headache medicine and devoted to the study of headache disorders.
