Boston PainCare Center’s Comprehensive PainCare Program

After years of treating chronic pain patients in a hospital setting, our physicians knew that there had to be a better way. The Boston PainCare Center was designed with the needs of the chronic pain patient in mind. Instead of going from one specialist to another our facility has everything here under one roof. Specialists from many disciplines who believe in the team approach to assessing and treating patients and working with you to find solutions to relieve your pain.

Your first visit to the Boston PainCare Center involves a careful and thorough assessment by several of our highly trained professionals. You will first meet with our physical performance medicine specialist who will test your strength and functioning and record your baseline measurements. These baseline measurements are useful in determining the cause of your pain, but will also help us to gauge your progress after treatment.

At your first appointment you will also meet with a member of our nursing staff. This staff member will go over all of your paperwork and talk to you about your paincare needs.

You will then meet with one of our pain specialists (M.D.) for a thorough history and physical exam. If you have had any prior tests such as a MRI or CT Scan please bring those results with you.

Your initial visit will last approximately two hours, so please plan accordingly.

Depending on your needs, our pain specialists may schedule additional consultations with one of our other specialists in order to diagnose or treat your pain condition. A complete list of our specialists can be found here.
